Forbidden Planet is one of the best-known pop culture retailers in the world. Founded in London in 1978, it describes itself as a “UK and worldwide cult entertainment megastore” and sells comics, graphic novels, manga, books, action figures, statues, board games, toys, clothing and collectibles from franchises like Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Doctor Who, anime and more. Its flagship London Megastore sits on Shaftesbury Avenue, and the online store ships internationally. We researched Forbidden Planet’s range, shipping to the US and customer feedback to help you decide if it’s right for you.
Short answer: Forbidden Planet is a fantastic destination for fans of comics, sci-fi, fantasy and cult entertainment, especially for UK and European exclusives, signed books and special editions that are hard to find in the US. US shoppers should check shipping costs, tariffs and delivery times at checkout, since orders ship from the UK.

Shipping to the US
Forbidden Planet ships worldwide, with US postage calculated at checkout. Its delivery FAQ estimates international orders at about 14 working days, though customs can add time. Because orders ship from the UK, US tariffs and import fees may apply to some items; Forbidden Planet notes these are added to delivery fees where relevant. Shipping policies for the US have changed during 2025, so confirm availability and total cost before ordering.
